From Delhi to Uttarakhand, people demonstrate on road; Demand justice for Ankita

New Delhi: The anger of the people is at its peak in the Ankita Bhandari murder case of Uttarakhand. Hundreds of people who reached near the hospital blocked the Badrinath-Rishikesh Highway. They have also closed the market in Uttarakhand’s Srinagar district on Sunday.

People raised slogans of Justice for Ankita. The Uttarakhand administration had to work hard to ease the traffic-jam and pacify the people. The Aam Aadmi Party is protesting in Delhi with respect to the Ankita Bhandari murder case.

AAP workers and Delhi police clash

In the country’s capital Delhi also, a demonstration was held on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party regarding the Ankita Bhandari murder case. During this there was a clash between AAP workers of Delhi Police and security forces. According to the information, many activists have also been taken into custody during this period. In the demonstration, people raised slogans of Justice for Ankita.

Pulkit Arya, the owner of Vanantra Resort in Rishikesh has been accused of killing Ankita Bhandari. Police have arrested three people including Pulkit. At the same time, strict action is being taken by the government in the whole matter.

Markets closed since morning, national highway jammed

In Uttarakhand’s Srinagar district, locals on Sunday closed a market in protest against the murder of Ankita Bhandari. Hundreds of people gathered and blocked the Badrinath-Rishikesh highway near Base Hospital. People here also created ruckus and demonstrations. Justice for Ankita raised slogans.

People have demanded that the post-mortem of Ankita’s body should be done again. Apart from Srinagar, demonstrations are also being held in different districts of Uttarakhand to get justice for Ankita Bhandari. In Dehradun too, there is a stir in the government regarding this matter.
