Four Peradeniya Law students injured in clash

Four students, who had been injured during a clash between two groups of students in the Law Faculty, were admitted to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital for treatment.

The injured students are in the second and third year, and they have held anti-ragging opinions.

The assault had taken place near the canteen around 6.30pm on Wednesday.

The University administration has commenced an investigation on the incident following a complaint.

It is alleged that a group of third and fourth year students had carried out the assault following a dispute over ragging.Peradeniya Police are investigating.
