Cong MLAs protest against garlic being sold at Rs 1 per kg in MP

New Delhi: Amidst the rising prices of garlic, a demonstration was organized at the gates of Madhya Pradesh State Assembly. The demonstration was led by the MLAs of the Congress party.

The MLAs brought sacks of garlic on their shoulders and stopped at the gate of assembly. The Congress MLAs demonstrated by throwing garlic at the gate.

Former Minister Jitu Patwari, Former Agriculture Minister Sachin Yadav, Former Minister Lakhan Yadav, Kunal Chaudhary were present at the demonstration among other MLAs.

These leaders are protesting against against the BJP-led MP government to buy garlic from the farmers at a reasonable price. Congress MLA said “BJP government can buy MLA but not buying garlic and farmer’s produce”

In MP, farmers are forced to sell their harvest of garlic at prices as low as Rs 1 per kg. News 24 is continuously covering the news of farmers the selling their harvest at such low prices on priority.

Former Agriculture Minister Sachin Yadav thanked News24 for being consistent in showing the plight of farmers.
