New Delhi: Shanaya Kapoor is all set to make her debut in Bollywood with Bedhadak. Shanaya is the daughter of Sanjay Kapoor. Bedhadak will also see Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada and it will mark their debut too. The trio will be seen in a romantic film that will be helmed by Shashank Khaitan.
While the first-look posters are already out, Shanaya’s father Sanjay Kapoor revealed that Shanaya will start shooting for the film by the end of this year. There was a buzz that the film might get delayed. But Sanjay also cleared the air around it and said that the film is on track. Speaking to ETimes, Sanjay said, “Shanaya will be shooting for the film by end of this year or early next year.”
The film will be produced by Dharma Productions. The makers have already unveiled the posters of Bedhadak in March.
Earlier, a source close to the development informed Pinkvilla, that the film will be a love triangle. Karan Johar has introduced the three lead characters with much fanfare taking to his Instagram handle. Even the trio has shared the posters and captioned as, “A new era of love is filled with passion, intensity & boundaries that will be crossed! Presenting #Bedhadak where I get to share the screen with my suave co-actors, Lakshya & Gurfateh – directed by the one and only Shashank Khaitan!”
Shanaya Kapoor began her career as an assistant director with cousin Janhvi Kapoor’s movie Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl in 2020. She also walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra at Lakme Fashion Week 2022.
