Weather Update: IMD issues very heavy rainfall alert in THESE states, check list

Weather Forecast: Monsoon is once again fully active and it has been raining continuously for the last several days. Due to this, rivers are in spate at many places and flood-like conditions remain. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain activities to continue in many parts of the country even today.

According to weather experts, the monsoon trough is moving towards North-South India. Due to this, there is a possibility of good rains in the coastal areas including Central India. At the same time, in the meantime, many areas of North India may also receive rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in many areas of Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and Bihar today. Heavy rain may occur at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. There is a possibility of rain today in Gujarat and many parts of Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, with the effect of another new low pressure forming in the Bay of Bengal from today, the rain activities are likely to increase again in the state from August 15.

According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, a new round of rain may start in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Mahesh Palawat says that ‘Monsoon Trough’ will move towards northern parts for sometime and light to moderate rain may occur over Delhi and other areas from Saturday. During this time only minor relief is expected.
