According to the Meteorological Department, a red alert has been issued for heavy rain in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan and Goa from today to August 9.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today and tomorrow. Whereas in West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand, there is an alert of continuous rain from today till August 9.
Private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather According to Skymet Weather, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, rest of North East India, remaining parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, East Rajasthan, Rayalaseema, Konkan and Light to moderate rain is possible over Goa and Madhya Maharashtra. Light rain is possible at one or two places over West Rajasthan over Delhi, Gujarat, Gangetic West Bengal, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
