WATCH: Indian National Flag hoisted in space, ISS

New Delhi: On the occasion of Independence Day, the tricolor was hoisted proudly in the International Space Center along with the country and abroad. Indian-origin astronaut Raja Chari, who was present at the International Space Center, shared some pictures on his Twitter handle. Raja Chari belongs to NASA. He is currently in the International Space Station.

Raja Chari placed the Indian Tricolor on a window of the Space Center and clicked pictures. Sharing the photos on Twitter, he wished Indians on the 75th Independence Day. During this, he also mentioned the contribution of Indians around the world including NASA. During this, he also shared a picture of Hyderabad taken from space where his father’s house is.

Chari wrote in his tweet, “On the eve of Indian Independence, I am missing Indians. He said that I am also able to see my father’s house from space which is shining on the occasion of Independence Day. “NASA is the only place where Indian-Americans look forward to celebrating Indian Independence Day,” he said. On the other hand, India’s Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu, while replying to Chari’s message, wrote, “The tricolor in space. Appreciate the message of Raja Chari”.

Space Kids India shared the video of Tiranga in space

On the other hand, Space Kids India has also shared a video in which the tricolor is seen waving 30 km above the surface of the Earth. Let us tell you that Space Kids India is an aerospace organization that produces young scientists for the country. Space Kids India was in the news recently when ISRO’s Small Satellite Launch Vehicle made its first flight about a week ago.

Astronaut Samantha also gave best wishes

Before August 15, Italian-origin astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti also extended 75th Independence Day greetings to the people of India on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA), NASA and other international partners. In a video shared by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), Samantha said, “Congratulations from the International Space Center. It is a pleasure to congratulate India on 75 years of independence.

Responding to Samantha’s message, ISRO thanked all the space station partners and wrote, “Thank you NASA, ESA and all the partners of the International Space Station for the best wishes on the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi”.
