UEFA Champions League: Supercomputer predicts Bayern as winners

New Delhi: According to FiveThirtyEight’s supercomputer, the German giants Bayern Munich will win the Champions League this season. The machine predicts that Bayern Munich will play against Manchester City in the final in Istanbul next June, with the Germans having a 21% chance of winning it.

While, the semi-finalists will be made up of Bayern, Manchester City, PSG, and Liverpool as predicted by the computer.

Defending champions Real Madrid have only a 7% chance of retaining their title which is less than the four other teams mentioned. The Los Blancos have been pitted against RB Leipzig, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Celtics in Group F for this season’s tournament. According to the supercomputer, the 14-time European champions will be knocked out in the quarter-finals.

On the other hand, Manchester City and PSG are the bookies’ favorites to win the 2022/23 Champions League. Liverpool and Bayern Munich are next, with odds-makers not quite able to agree which side has the better chance of going all the way. Behind them come Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, and London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
