The University Admission Handbook will be released on Friday

Enable GingerBased on the results of the 2021 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination 42,519 students are scheduled to be admitted to state universities this year, according to the chairman of the University Grants Commission, Professor Sampath Amarathunga.

Accordingly, 2,035 students will be admitted to medical faculties and 2,238 students will be admitted to engineering faculties of state universities. 

He said that applications for univeristy admission for the coming year 2022 should be sent online.

Accordingly applications are scheduled to be invited from Sepember 5 to September 23. He also mentioned that the information center of the University Grants Commission will be kept open from 8.30am to 6.00pm during the applcation period on weekdays and week

The Chairman mentioned that the university admission handbook will be released in bookstores from next Friday (02) and will be available from Saturday (03).
