A group of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MPs staged a protest yesterday (9) near the Jayanthipura Parliament entrance in Battaramulla.
The SJB MPs were protesting against the government alleging that the government is suppressing public protests and is violating the right to peaceful protest.
MPs led by the Opposition Chief Organizer MP Lakshman Kiriella participated in this protest. The SJB members participated in the House proceedings following the protest.
