New Delhi: On June 27, Mahindra launched its new Scorpio-N and about a month and a half later introduced a new version of the old Scorpio. It was named- Mahindra Scorpio Classic. Mahindra has already decided that it will continue to sell the Scorpio-N as well as the old Scorpio as the company is aware that the Scorpio name has become a huge brand and has a brand value of its own. In such a situation, the company introduced the old Scorpio in a new way. But, many such features were left in it, which if it were, would have attracted more customers.
1- 4-Wheel Drive System
The new Mahindra Scorpio Classic has been left with a four-wheel drive system while the old Scorpio used to get a four-wheel drive system, which made it more capable of off-roading. Four-wheel drive proves to be very effective for off-roading people and Scorpio has also been seen from the point of view of off-roading.
2- Automatic Transmission
The new Mahindra Scorpio Classic will also not get an automatic transmission, while the old Mahindra Scorpio used to have an automatic transmission. But, now when the company has launched its updated version, the option of automatic transmission has been removed. Now it will be available only in 6 speed manual transmission.
3- Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will also not be available in the new Mahindra Scorpio. However, a 9-inch touch screen infotainment system will be available but it will not support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Apart from these, there are many features, which you may feel missing in the new Mahindra Scorpio Classic, such as absence of auto headlamps, no rain sensing wipers, intermittent windscreen wiper controller or no tire pressure monitoring system.
