Munawar Faruqui Show Cancelled: Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui’s show in Delhi has been cancelled. The Delhi Police has refused permission to Munawar Faruqui to perform the show. The licensing unit of Delhi Police has denied permission after the local Central District Police wrote a report.

Reports had claimed that the show would affect communal harmony in the area. In this case, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had written a letter to Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora on August 25, demanding cancellation of Munawar Faruqui’s show.

The VHP, in its letter, has alleged that communal tension was created in Bhagyanagar due to Munawar Faruqui’s jokes on Hindu deities. VHP and Bajrang Dal will protest if the show in Delhi is not cancelled.

In view of the opposition of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), the show of famous comedian Munawar Faruqui in the capital Delhi has been canceled. Actually, Delhi Police has not approved standup comedian Munawar Faruqui’s show to be held in Delhi. Earlier, Munawar Faruqui’s show in Mumbai has also been canceled.

In this regard, OP Mishra, Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police said that Munawar Faruqui’s show has been denied permission due to objection. In fact, the Central Delhi Police had said that the event would spoil the atmosphere.

Let us inform that in the past, all the organizations including Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Hindu Sena had demanded cancellation of Munawar Faruqui’s show in Delhi. The Hindu Sena had written a letter to Delhi Police saying that Munawwar Farooqui’s show to be held in Delhi should be canceled and if this does not happen then VHP and Bajrang Dal workers along with Hindu Sena will protest against the show. Earlier, in view of the possible uproar, Munawar Faruqui’s show in the country’s financial capital Mumbai has also been canceled.

A show of Munawar Faruqui is to be organized on August 28 at Kedarnath Stadium of Civic Center. The VHP says that Munawwar Farukhi makes fun of Hindu deities during the comedy. Along with this, by writing a letter to Delhi Police, it was also said that if Munawar Faruqui’s show happens, they will protest against it.

Let us tell here that the famous stand up comedian Munawar Faruqui is originally from Junagadh, Gujarat. Munawar Faruqui has been accused of making objectionable remarks on Hindu gods and goddesses many times in the past.

Hindu Sena also expressed displeasure

The Hindu Sena had also demanded the cancellation of comedian Munawar Faruqui’s program. For this, the Hindu Sena had also written a letter to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Commissioner and the Commissioner of Delhi Police. Munawwar Farooqui’s program was to be held on August 28 at Kedarnath Sahni Auditorium. At the same time, Vishwa Hindu Parishad was also raising questions regarding the program.

Hindu Sena national president Vishnu Gupta had objected to Munawar Faruqui’s program in the letter. The Hindu Sena says that Munawwar Farooqui continues to make controversial remarks against Hindu gods and goddesses and Sanatan Dharma. As such, the program should be canceled in view of any discrepancy.
