Enable GingerThe Police Media Spokesperson’s Office states that several suspects have been arrested in connection with the destrcuction of the houses of MPs Wimal Weerawansa, Lasantha Alagiyawanna and Arundika Fernando.
The house of MP Wimal Weerawasa was attacked and the property set on fire on May 9th. A main suspect who was wanted in connection with the incident of destruction of this property was arrested yesterday (29) by the Malambe police.
A suspect involved in the attacks on the house and property of MP Lasantha Alagiyawanna has been arrested. He was arrested by the Western Province North Crime Division.
Meahwhile, a suspect involved in attacking and setting fire to the house and office of MP Arundika Fernando was also arrested yesterday. He is a resident of Dankotuwa area. Dankotuwa Police is conducting further investigations in this regard.
