Patna: In a shocking case from Gopalganj, Bihar, a young man who was eagerly awaiting his marriage attempted suicide after his family members denied his wish. The case involves Mathia village in the Kuchaykot police station area.
Actually, the young man used to work in a state other than his own. He’d gone back to his house. He was putting pressure on his family to marry. However, citing a financial crisis, the family members refused to get him married this year.
He was enraged because he had not listened. On Saturday, August 27, he attempted suicide by ingesting insecticide.
Young man out of harm’s way
In an unconscious state, his family members admitted him to Sadar Hospital. The doctor declared him safe after treatment.
The family had no idea their child would commit such a crime. The police were informed by family members that their marriage was in progress.
However, due to financial constraints, they were unable to get him married and this was the reason that he ingested poison.
At the same time, the police have begun an investigation.
