CWG2022 Wrestling halted after speaker falls from ceiling in Birmingham

Birmingham: The game of Wrestling has been halted for undecided period of time just few minutes after the start. In the embarrassing incident for the organizers, the wrestling hall was vacated after a announcement speaker fell from the ceiling, causing a chaos in CWG2022.

Everyone is safe after the incident and the game is announced to resume soon.

Reassuring the athletes and the audience, a coach said “All are safe, they are just rechecking the whole system to avoid any untoward incident.”

“I don’t know but one of them told me something fell off the roof,” said one of the Stewarts present in the hall.

“We’re taking a short pause for a safety check and will resume action once we receive the go-ahead,” tweeted UWW.

In another tweet, UWW informed, “Wrestling will resume in one hour. We’ll restart at 12:15 (local time ). We apologize, wrestling fans.”

The incident happened following a match between Singapore’s Danielle Sue Ching Lim and Zainab Barrie of Sierra Leone.
