CWG2022: Vijay Kumar Yadav reaches bronze medal match

Birmingham: India judo player Vijay Kumar Yadav has reached the bronze medal match of the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022 after defeating Munro Dylan.

India judo player Sushila Devi has sailed into finals of 48kg category after winning against Mauritius player Morand Priscilla in the semi-finals.

Earlier in the day, Suchika Tariyal reached the bronze medal match of the ongoing CWG2022 after winning the repechage game against Breytenbach Donne on South Africa.

Along with that, Jasleen Singh Saini has also reached the bronze medal match after losing the game of semi-finals against Allan Finlay of Scotland.

Previous Records of Vijay Kumar Yadav

Indian judoka, Vijay Kumar Yadav won a bronze medal at the Asian Open in Hong Kong in 2018. Kumar won the Commonwealth Championships in Walsall in 2019 and Jaipur in 2018. Yadav is multiple Indian champion in seniors and juniors.

Vijay won a Lakshman state award in 2019. He captured a bronze medal at the Asian Open in Hong Kong in 2019.
