CHEC Port City Colombo Pvt Ltd represented Sri Lanka at the World Cities Summit held at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from July 31 to August 3. This biennial global event unites city leaders and associates from across 90 countries under this year’s theme, “Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Emerging Stronger.”
Port City Colombo envisions itself as the most livable city in South Asia imbuing technology and sustainability with its Smart City concept to enhance living convenience. As the Platinum Sponsor of the event, the project company showcased the potential of Port City Colombo as a special economic zone and a future investment hub to representatives from governments, thought leaders, experts and corporates from diverse industry sectors, who converged at the World Cities Summit to inspire conversations about the future and forge new partnerships. The 3-day Summit was attended by Deputy Managing Director, CHEC Port City Colombo Thulci Aluwihare, where he spoke at the WCS track session on the topic, “How Can Partnerships Transform the Development of Cities?”
