Cabinet frees two senior ministers ahead of Gujarat Assembly Polls

Ahmedabad: Ahead of Gujarat Assembly Polls, cabinet ministers Rajendra Modi and Purnesh Modi have been taken away their revenue and roads and buildings portfolios. The cabinet cited that there were complaints of inefficiency.

The two ministries will be with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. However, the CM has given the  revenue charge to Minister of State for Home, Harsh Sanghavi, and that of Roads and Buildings to MoS (Industries) Jagdish Panchal (Vishwakarma).

However, Rajendra Trivedi will continue to hold Law and Justice, Disaster Management, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs ministries while Purnesh Modi will hold Transport, Civil Aviation, Tourism and Pilgrimage Development ministries.

The Gujarat Assembly Polls are likely to be held in December this year.
