BJP appoints Bhupendra Singh Choudhary as UP unit chief

New Delhi: For Mission 2024, BJP has made a big move. BJP has appointed Bhupendra Singh Choudhary as the state president of UP BJP. Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary is currently the Minister of Panchayati Raj in the Yogi Adityanath government.

Many other leaders were also involved in the race for UP State BJP President, but Bhupendra Chaudhary has won.

Earlier, in July, Swatantra Dev Singh had resigned from the post of state president. Since then the state president was being searched in UP. In fact, keeping in mind the Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP wanted to give the responsibility of state president to a leader of western UP, so that the regional equation remains.

Bhupendra Choudhary comes from the Jat community of western UP, in such a situation, BJP can play a stake in balancing both regional and caste in the state. Bhupendra Choudhary is considered to be the strongest leader in western UP to channelize the Jat vote bank. In such a situation, it is believed that Bhupendra Chaudhary can now replace Swatantra Dev Singh.

According to experts, Bhupendra Chaudhary can benefit BJP in one and a half dozen Lok Sabha seats under the influence of Jats in western UP.

Actually, Bhupendra Chaudhary is considered very close to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He was born in 1966 in a farmer family in Mahendri Sikandarpur village of Moradabad. He has studied up to 12th from RN Inter College, Moradabad. After this he joined Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). After this again joined BJP in 1991. Bhupendra Chaudhary was elected a member of the UP Legislative Council on June 10, 2016. He has been the party’s regional president in 2012.
