Earlier, Alia Bhatt had shared a video in which he can be seen getting candid about how, when and where the vision of Brahmastra was born. The 38-year-old filmmaker is seen tracing the journey of Brahmastra from 2011 when he was writing the script for his second film Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani till now when it’s just a month away from release.

In a recent video discussing the Ranbir and Alia movie, Ayan stated that the idea for Brahmastra first came to him while he was in the Himalayas writing the script for his second movie, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. The director revealed that he had dreamed of a tale that is based in Indian mythology and culture but is delivered to the audience utilising cutting-edge technology. He believed that the spirituality found in the mountains was what gave rise to the Brahmastra vision. Ayan acknowledged that the scope and ambition of Brahmastra were large, which is why he chose to turn it into a trilogy. The titles of the remaining two parts have not yet been determined, but the first portion, Shiva, has Ranbir and Alia in the starring roles.
