Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday issued a travel ban on twenty one individuals including Roshan Ali Danish Ali and Wigodawaththe Kashyapa Thera.
This order was issued in relation to the incident related to blocking the entrance of Lotus Road, the Ministry of Finance and the President’s Secretariat and causing inconvenience to the public.
The Magistrate made this order pursuant to a request made by the Fort Police.
Accordingly, Wigodawaththe Kashyapa Thera, M.G.Thisara Nuwantha Anuradha, L.N.D.Perera, P.B.M.Rumesha Indika, R.A.Rajapaksa, A.A.Siril Manathunga, W.B.Isuru Warnakula, Roshan Ali Danish Ali, T.C.Chandimal Gamage, D.R.S.Benthara Arachchi,N.M.Thaufik, M.Caseem, Nilantha Samith Fernando,Koralage Bandula Prabath, H.M.T.G.Manika, Sameera Madushanka Siriwardena, Sudath Lakshman, M.R.Charuka Gimhan, D.P.Chathurika Sarojani, J.M.Nilantha and M.Nishantha have been banned from leaving abroad.
The Fort police informed the Magistrate that they have received intelligence information that these individuals are planning to flee the country.
