Strugglers present work programme to Party reps

Those engaged in the struggle met political party representatives and civil society activists in Colombo yesterday and presented their programme of work.

SJB MP Dr. Harsha De Silva speaking at the event said the SJB agrees with the proposal of the group engaged in the people’s struggle and added however a time frame should be agreed to implement them.

SLFP MP Duminda Dissanayake too said the proposals were very progressive but added that the current diffuculties faced by the people should be given precedence by the new government.

JVP member Lal Kantha also praised the proposals as very progressive.

Meanwhile those engaged in the struggle said if both the President and Prime Minister do not step down today, their struggle for their ouster will be intensified.
