Samsung S22 ‘Bora Purple’ Edition Colour Variant Launched: Know features

New Delhi: Samsung has just launched a new color variant for the Galaxy S22 called Bora Purple. This new feature is currently only available for the Galaxy S22 and not the Galaxy S22+ or Galaxy S22 Ultra.

The Galaxy S22 was already available in a purple shade with a contrasting color for the camera module, but the Bora Purple color looks like a deeper shade of purple and the same shade is also used for the camera module. It is not yet clear whether this color will make it to India.

Samsung says the new color will go on sale in select markets from August 10. The new Bora Purple shade for the Samsung Galaxy S22 is not an online exclusive color, just like the purple shade.

The word “Bora” is Korean for purple, and according to Samsung, the new shade is designed to “evoke joy, stimulate creativity and promote individuality.”

Rumors of this new shade leaked earlier this month, when it was believed that the entire S22 range would get it, but as it turns out, it’s only for the regular Galaxy S22 model.

Samsung has played around with different shades of purple in the past. We had the Lilac Purple Galaxy S9 and the Lavender Galaxy Z Flip 3.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Colours

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ are available in Green, Phantom Black, Phantom White and Rose Gold colors in India. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 Ultra comes in Burgundy, Green, Phantom Black and Phantom White colors.

A previous rumor suggested that other Galaxy devices like Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro might also get Bora Purple color but Samsung has not confirmed anything officially yet.

Since we don’t even have a purple color for the Galaxy S22 in India, there is a possibility that Samsung will launch the Bora Purple variant here.
