New Delhi: Real Madrid were the protagonists at the LaLiga Kick Off Gala, held at the Eslava Theater in Madrid. Pedro López Jiménez, vice-president of Real Madrid, represented the club in this event. Los Blancos then won the badge of La Liga champions.

LaLiga launched this  two years ago as a way of further highlighting the excellence, and quality of the competition. FC Barcelona have won the title twice in 2017/18 and 2018/19.

In the next season, Ancelotti’s men will wear this gold badge on the shirt during matches in the domestic competition. Madrid will wear it for the next time when they travel to Almeria on Sunday, August 14.

La Liga’s website says, “The badge forms part of LaLiga’s corporate identity with the “heartbeat” sitting just above the LaLiga emblem on their right sleeves. Golden in colour, and with a diameter of 3.5cm, the design refers back to 2019/20, when Zinedine Zidane’s side were crowned champions once again.”
