Probe into diesel theft from University vehicles

Peradeniya Police and the Security Division of the Peradeniya University are investigating an incident where diesel has been stolen from three University vehicles.

Diesel in two vans and a bus have been stolen while parked within the University premises.

Diesel was stolen from one van on July 28, while another successful attempt was made on July 29. Attempts have been made on three more vehicles but the robbers have failed to break the fuel tank locks.

One of the vans had been parked before the university security division when the incident took place.
