Dehradun: A mother of three children in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani eloped with her underage boyfriend and then committed suicide by hanging herself the next day after being brought back by her husband. However, the deceased’s family members have accused her husband of harassing and killing her.
According to police, the woman, originally from Bihar, lived in the Mandi Chowki area with three children, including the eldest 10-year-old son, and her husband. The husband pushes the wheelbarrow.
According to reports, the woman was in love with a young man from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. On Tuesday, July 19, she fled home with her lover.
While searching for her, the husband found her in Bareilly on Friday, July 22.
Her lover and his mother refused to keep her with them when the woman’s husband arrived. Following this, the husband returned home with his wife.
According to the husband, on Saturday, the wife locked herself in the room alone and hanged on the noose. On this, he informed the police.
SSI Vijay Mehta said that action will be taken after receiving the formal complaint in the matter.
