New Delhi: On Friday, a sizable fire started at a shopping centre in Mumbai’s Andheri neighbourhood.
Images from the area showed the structure emitting massive plumes of smoke, and firefighters were on the scene battling the blaze.
So yet, no injuries have been recorded.
At 4.30 pm, the blaze was reported from DN Nagar, which is behind the Andheri Sports Complex, and eight fire engines and five jumbo tankers flocked to the scene.
A temporarily built decorative pandal is where the fire originated.
The level-2 fire’s origin has not yet been determined.
The complex is bordered by a number of high-rise structures, including both residential and commercial ones, so the firefighters are attempting to put out the fire as quickly as they can.
