Manchu magazine relaunched, issued free with Silumina newspaper

The Manchu magazine, the popular crime weekly, will be issued free of charge with the Silumina newspaper every Sunday from July 10.

The magazine was relaunched yesterday at the auditorium of Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) under patronage of Secretary to the Mass Media Ministry and the Chairman and Managing Director of ANCL Anusha Palpita.

Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) Director Editorial Sisira Paranathanthri addressing the gathering said that the Silumina newspaper has earned a great reputation as a family newspaper which brings joy and knowledge to the entire family. This magazine will be an important addition to the Newspaper. The magazine is aimed at reforming society and not popularizing crimes and frauds. It will also protect media ethics and closely work with Police and the Security Forces to eradicate crimes from society.

The services rendered by former Editors of the Manchu Magazine Keerthi Mendis and Thakshila Jayasekara were also appreciated at the event. Silumina Chief Editor Dharman Wickramaratne also participated in the event.
