The salary of Thierry Delaporte’s CEO and Managing Director of Wipro has increased by over ten million dollars in FY2022. Wipro CEO Thierry Delaporte’s salary has risen to $10.51 million (Rs 79.8 crore) this fiscal.
The company, which provides services in the IT sector, had filed its annual report with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, which revealed the annual salary of the company’s CEO Thierry Delaporte.
Who is Thierry Delaporte?
Thierry Delaporte received a salary package of 8.7 million (approximately Rs. 64.3 crore) in the financial year 2020-21. In the previous financial year, his compensation was for a period of 9 months from July 6, 2020 to March 31, 2021.
Thierry Delaporte has been the CEO and MD of IT company Wipro since July 6, 2020. He has 27 years of experience in the IT services industry. Prior to joining Wipro, Delaporte held various leadership positions at Capgemini from 1995, from September 2017 to May 2020 as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Meanwhile, Wipro chairman Rishad Premji received a total compensation of 1. 1.82 million, while Jatin Praveen Chandra Dalal received a package of 1.5 1.59 million in FY2022, as shown in the document. In comparison, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh received a total remuneration of Rs. Got compensation.
For the fourth quarter ended March 2022, Wipro Ltd increased its consolidated profit by 4% to Rs 3,092.5 crore from Rs 2,974 crore in the same period a year ago. The Bengaluru-based company’s consolidated revenue from the operation increased by 28% from Rs 16,245 crore to Rs 20,860 crore.
The company’s operating margin fell 60 basis points to 17% during the last quarter, while IT services revenue stood at 2, 2.722 million during the March quarter, up 26% year-on-year (YoY). Indicates an increase.
Wipro expects revenue to be between 2. 2.74 billion and 2. 2.80 billion in the first quarter ending June 30. This represents a gradual increase of 1-3%, down from the 2-4% directed for the March quarter.
