Will Nunez be perfect fit for Mane-shaped hole in Liverpool?

New Delhi:

Legendary football club Liverpool has let their legendary player, Sadio Mane, depart for Bayern. And now, once again, the Reds are left in a stage of experiments. With their most expensive purchase in the form of Darwin Nunez, the Merseyside club would eye on creating a team for the present and the future.

The ideal formation for the double winners of FA cup and the League cup, comprised Mane as the left winger, Roberto Firmino as the striker, and Salah on right, of course. This attacking trio has been heftily rewarding for the club. The mystic chemistry between the fearsome front three often left the opponents in shock when the trio scored goals ‘out of nowhere.’

Liverpool’s 2020 investment in Diego Jota has been paying off this season already. The 27.5 million player has been a hit, scoring many important goals for Liverpool as the centre forward in the absence of Firmino, who had suffered a foot injury. When Bobby makes a ‘fit and fine’ comeback to the team, Jota on the left and Firmino being the striker would be ideal.

But if the injury-related problems persist and affect the Brazilian’s form, Jota can take his position at the centre and Luis Diaz may play his game from the left. The trio of Diaz, Jota and Salah is something that Klopp may try out in the upcoming season.

However, signing Nunez for a record prize of reportedly 100m could tweak the game of the Reds. If Klopp utilises his winter signing Diaz and the summer signing Nunez at the same time, the Colombian will fill the Mane-shaped hole in the team and the Uruguayan will lead the attack from the centre.
