The Volkswagen Vertus has been developed in partnership with Skoda and Volkswagen on the MQB AO IN platform and is equipped with bigger and more updated features than the Vento, another sedan from the company.
Talking about the look and features of the Vertus, it will get a single slate grille with chrome surround, integrated L-shaped LED DRLs, LED projector headlamps, wide air dam, shark fin antenna, contrast black ORVMs, door handles with chrome inserts and sloping roofline. Also dual tone alloy wheels will be seen.
In terms of features, the Volkswagen Virtus gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play support, wireless mobile charging, electric sunroof, connected car technology, ventilated front seats and automatic AC along with 6 airbags as standard features. Many safety features will be seen including ESC, rear parking sensor.

Engine
Talking about the engine and power of Volkswagen Virtus, it will get 2 engine options, in which 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbo petrol engine will generate 108bhp power and 175Nm torque. At the same time, the 1.5 liter 4 cylinder TSI petrol engine will be capable of generating 147bhp power and 250Nm torque. Volkswagen is offering this new midsize sedan in India with 6 speed manual and 6 speed torque converter automatic as well as 7 speed DSG automatic transmission options. Later, the rest of the Vertus will be offered in 6 attractive color options along with the GT Line trim.
Talking about the possible price, the starting price of Volkswagen Vertus can be more than Rs 10 lakh. Vertus can be booked for a token amount of Rs 11,000.
