Former India captain Virat Kohli touched the milestone of 200 million on Instagram, becoming the only Indian to have this fan following. Kohli is the most followed cricketer on Instagram and in fact, only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are ahead of this star batter.
Acknowledging the landmark, Kohli thanked his fans with a post on Instagram and wrote “200 mil strong, Thanks for all your support insta fam.”
In the past years, Kohli has not been in his form as he could not perform in his prolific style. Last year, Kohli stepped down from the captaincy of shortest format. Later, he was removed as ODI captain as the management wanted same captian for white ball cricket.
In Januray this year, Kohli gave the leadership in Test cricket. He also did not have a very decorated IPL2022 season. He has been rested for the upcoming India vs Sri Lanka series.
