VIDEO: Rahul Gandhi greeted by hundreds of Congress workers on way to ED office

New Delhi:

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi was greeted by a huge crowd of supporters as he traveled to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday morning.

Earlier, former Congress president and MP from Wayanad Rahul Gandhi left the Congress headquarters for the ED office. He reached the ED office on footand a large number of other Congress leaders were also present with him.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi reached the Congress headquarters in Delhi in front of his sister Priyanka. He is to appear before the Enforcement Directorate in the National Herald case today.

“We are protesting against what is happening in the country today. The PM should send a message to the country that violence will not be tolerated,” Senior Congress leader and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said.

Earlier, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said that the ‘struggle for truth’ led by Rahul Gandhi would continue before the ED inquires into the National Herald money laundering case.

At the party headquarters, Surjewala said, “We will take out a peaceful protest march led by Rahul Gandhi to the ED office. We are the defenders of the constitution, we will not bow down or be afraid. By deploying a large number of police force, it has been proved that the Modi government has been shaken by the Congress.

“The ‘struggle for truth’ will continue under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. Even the British could not suppress the voice of the Congress during the war of independence, then how is this ruling government?” Surjewala said.

The ED had on Friday issued a new summons to Sonia Gandhi to appear on June 23 for questioning in the National Herald Money Laundering case.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police today refused to allow a Congress rally on Monday (June 13, 2022) against Rahul Gandhi’s interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the National Herald case. Delhi Police cited law and order behind not allowing the rally.
