Uttar Pradesh: After Kanpur, violent clashes erupt between 2 communities in Agra

After Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh (UP), fresh violence erupted between two communities over an accident in Agra. Two days before this, there was a clash in Kanpur.

In the Basai Khurd area of Tajganj, a motorcycle hit a person, where road construction work was going on and there were piles of tiles on both sides of the road. Regarding this, a fight broke out between the bike rider and the injured youth.

As soon as they saw it, people from both communities started throwing stones at each other. As soon as the information was received, the police rushed to the spot and controlled the situation.

PFI link to Kanpur violence

Meanwhile, the Kanpur riots are are being linked to the Popular Front of India (PFI). The police have found PFI documents from the arrested persons. Documents related to PFI have also been found in the possession of some of the arrested persons.

Documents of PFI’s student wing have been found from the office of Zafar Hashmi, who is said to be the mastermind of the Kanpur violence. It is reported that Zafar Hayat Hashmi was hiding in his office in Lucknow after the incident. Some YouTube channels were being run from its office.

An appeal for closure of Kanpur was issued on June 3 through these channels. Some videos related to the violence also show that it was a complete conspiracy. In one video, an angry mob is seen carrying a cart full of stones.

Investigation revealed that Hindu families living in Chandreshwar Hata were targeted.
