US: Several injured in mass firing at Wisconsin funeral

Washington:

A shooter injured several people during a funeral in the US state of Wisconsin on Thursday, police and local media said.

The Racine Police Department said on Twitter: “Several shots fired at Graceland Cemetery at 2:26 pm.”

Local media reported that five people were injured at the funeral, which was for Da’Shontay King Sr, a man killed by the police on May 20.

Racine Mayor Cory Mason said that the City of Racine will enforce a juvenile curfew ordinance which will make it mandatory for those below 18 years of age to remain home from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Gun violence-stricken US is grappling with two devastating mass shootings last month: one in a Texas elementary school that killed 21 and another in a New York state supermarket that killed 10.
