Two Pakistanis among three Lashker terrorists killed in North Kashmir

Three terrorists including two from Pakistan were killed during two separate encounters with joint forces in Sopore Baramulla and Kandi area of Kupwara in North Kashmir since last 14 hours.

Today during early morning hours forces cornered two Lashker terrorists hiding in the Kandi area of Kupwara, as soon as forces spot the hiding terrorists they fired upon forces triggering an gunfight. IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said “Two militants of outfit LeT including one Pakistani militant namely Tufail killed. Search still going on”.

Earlier yesterday evening on receiving the specific information about terrorists, joint team of Police and Army launched a cordon and search operation in Zaloora area of Sopore.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight during which a Lashker terrorist identified as Hanzalla of Lahore Pakistan was killed. One AK rifle, five magazines along with ammunition has been recovered from this area.

Since last 14 hours two major anti terrorist operations were carried out by forces in North Kashmir, top police officials said the presence of Pakistani terrorists in the area was huge threat and it has been neutralised successfully.
