Srinagar:
Two LeT militants were killed in an ongoing overnight anti terrorist operation launched by forces at Kanjuilar arsa of Shopian in South Kashmir.
Official sources told News24 that two militants associated with LeT were killed during gunfight with police and security forces in Kanjiular.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said, “One of the killed militants has been identified as Jan Mohd Lone of Shopian. Besides other militant crimes, he was involved in recent killing of Vijay Kumar, Bank manager on 2/6/22 in Kulgam district”.
It’s pertinent to mention that Jammu and Kashmir’s Ellaqie Dehati Bank manager Vijay Kumar resident of Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh was shot dead by militants at Areh Mohanpora in the Kulgam district on 2nd June of this month.
Meanwhile search operation is still going on in the area, as some more militants are believed to be trapped here.
