Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Punjab Police nabs suspect for providing car to attackers

Sidhu Moose Wala Murder:

The Punjab Police on Monday arrested a new suspect in the murder case of Punjabi singer and politician Sidhu Moose Wala. It is suspected that a shooter who shot dead a Punjabi singer in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on May 29 was provided with a Bolero car.

The suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of gangster Harjeet Singh Penta, who was shot dead in Marhi Mustafa village of Baghapurana in Moga in April. Penta, a member of the Devinder Bambiha group, was allegedly assassinated on the instructions of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The first arrest in connection with the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case was made by the Punjab Police on May 31 after apprehending Manpreet Bhau of Dhaipe village in Mansa district. It is alleged that Bhau provided equipment to the attackers.

Three days later, the Punjab Police arrested two people linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi from Fatehabad in Haryana. The name of one of these suspects is Pawan Bishnoi. Both these suspects belong to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Lawrence Bishnoi, who has been lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail since last year, has been remanded in police custody for five days. In the remand application, the Delhi Police did not mention whether they were investigating the gangster for the murder of Musa Wala. Bishnoi was arrested by Delhi Police from Jail No. 8 of Tihar in a 2021 case related to arms smuggling.
