Saudi man offers to marry Amber Heard after her loss in defamation trial, says 'I am better than old Johnny Depp'

New Delhi:

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s much-publicised defamation trial recently came to an end last week, with the Pirates of the Caribbean actor winning the case. The six-week-long trial was held in Fairfax , Virginia and Amber was asked to pay $15 million to Depp. Even as the trial has now come to a conclusion, the internet hasn’t had enough of fit. In a bizzare turn of events, a Saudi man asked Amber Heard to marry him. The man set a voice note to Amber on Instagram and said that she should not marry him as she has nothing left now. He also called himself a better man than ‘old’ Johnny.

“Amber since all doors are closing on you, you have no one except me to take care of you. I’ve noticed that some people hate and bully you, therefore, I decided to marry you. May Allah bless us both. You are a blessing, but people don’t appreciate that. I am better than that old man,” he says in the voice note in Arabic. The voice note has now gone viral on social media.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, who married in 2015 after courting for four year, called it quits in 2016. In April 2022, the ongoing legal dispute between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard finally went to trial, years after The Pirates of Caribbean star filed a defamation suit against his ex-wife over an article she wrote for The Sun.

Heard penned a op-ed for The Washington Post in December of 2018 about the treatment of women in domestic abuse cases. She did not mention Depp by name, but didn’t leave any space for readers to not recognize that she was talking about Depp. Depp sued Heard for $50 million for defamation over her Washington Post piece as he claimed that it cost him financial loss as he was thrown out of many projects.
