In Shahjahanpur, UP, a case of marrying an impotent by taking 10 lakh dowry has come to the fore. A girl in the city was cheated and married an impotent young man. On the honeymoon, the bride came to know that the groom was impotent. When she told this to her in-laws, the angry sister-in-law beat up the bride. After which 7 people including the husband were booked for assault and cheating on behalf of the bride side.
A girl from Shahjahanpur was married to a young man named Satyam. In the marriage, a dowry of Rs 10 lakh was given by the girl’s side. Apart from this, jewelry and clothes were also given. The marriage also went well. But later the bride came to know that the groom is impotent. Before the wedding, the bride’s side did not know anything about the groom’s impotent.
When the bride asked her in-laws about this, she was asked to keep her mouth shut on receiving information about the groom being impotent on the honeymoon. Their Sister-in-law also assaulted him and threatened to kill him if she opened his mouth.
The victim had lodged a case with the police against 7 people including the groom and sister-in-law. After receiving the complaint, the police started investigating the matter. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sanjeev Bajpayee told the media that we have received a complaint regarding this, and we are probing it.
