Superstar Ranbir Kapoor has a busy line-up for the upcoming year. The actor recently wrapped up the shooting of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal with Rashmika Mandanna. Currently, he is shooting for Luv Ranjan’s next with Shraddha Kapoor. The actor also has Shamshera in his kitty where he will play a larger-than-life quintessential Hindi film hero for the first time in his career. The trailer of the film will be released on June 24, the makers announced earlier. Now, ahead of the trailer launch, a picture showing Ranbir in a rugged avatar has gone viral on the internet. The said picture was supposed to be unveiled few days later as the first look poster of the film.
After the leaked motion poster, Yash Raj Films is now planning things from the scratch. While fans and audiences have given two thumbs up to Ranbir’s look, YRF has now planned to rejig all plans.
A YRF spokesperson told Bollywood Hungama, “Yes, we have been monitoring this situation since morning. There has been a leak and it’s quite unfortunate. Ranbir is coming back to the big screen after 4 years and we wanted to guard Ranbir’s look till people see the trailer because we were aware that it would be the biggest talking point. We will now need to rejig our entire plan in the run-up to the trailer launch. We should have more updates to share in the next two days.”

Shamshera is a period drama, helmed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath (2012) and Brothers (2015) fame. The source continued, “Shamshera is touted to be a visual spectacle. Being a YRF venture, the producers have left no stone unturned in ensuring that the film looks grand in every way. This grandeur will also be reflected in the trailer.”
Besides Ranbir Kapoor, Shamshera also stars Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.
