Rain Alert! IMD predicts rains in THESE states including Delhi-NCR

New Delhi:

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said that some areas of Delhi and its adjoining states of Rajasthan and Haryana will receive rain during the next two hours. Weather warnings have been issued for different parts of the capital and other two states.

There is a possibility of light rain in the north-west and western parts of Delhi in the next two hours. Similar weather has been predicted for Siwani and Rohtak in Haryana and Pilani, Alwar and Nagar in Rajasthan.

This forecast is a much-awaited relief for both Delhi and the northern states, which have been troubled by the heat wave again for the past few days.

This rain warning comes as the Meteorological Department issued a heatwave warning for the remaining hours of Thursday and Friday (June 10) in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, south Uttar Pradesh, northwest Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, interior Odisha and Jharkhand.

Meanwhile, the monsoon rains will have to wait for a few more days. By June 15, rain activities are expected to increase and cover Central India and northern plains of the country.
