Railway Recruitment:

There will be a lot of recruitments in the next one year for different posts in Indian Railways. Railways plans to make about 1,48,463 recruitments in a year. Explain that in the last 8 years, an average of 43,678 recruitments were taking place annually.

However, now the railways have stepped up their pace in terms of recruitments. In this case, all the pending recruitments will be completed in the next one year. At the same time there will be recruitments for many new posts.

What is the reason for increased recruitment in railways?

In fact, PM Modi has spoken of speeding up the recruitment process in many departments and ministries. At the same time, it has been claimed that 10 lakh jobs will be given in the next 18 months. After the announcement of PM Modi, most of the ministries are in action. That is why the Railways has announced to complete all the recruitments soon.

Recruitment will be for 21.75 per cent posts

According to the latest report of the Department of Expenditure of Pay and Allowance, 40.78 lakh posts were sanctioned in the Union and Union Territories till March 1, 2020. Of these, about 31.91 lakh have been recruited. This means about 21.75 per cent vacancies are to be filled.

Where are the vacancies?

According to the report, 92 per cent of the total staff comes from 5 ministries and departments like Railways, Defense (Civil), Home Affairs, Post and Revenue. At present the total number of employees in the Union Territory is 31.33 lakh. Of this, 40.55 per cent is owned by Railways. 

The Opposition has been attacking the central government on the issue of unemployment. That is why the central government is increasingly recruiting for vacant posts, so that the opposition cannot make unemployment an issue in the coming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
