QS World University Rankings 2023: IISc Bangalore become the best research university, IITs left behind

London-based global higher education analyst Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released the rankings of the world’s most prestigious international universities, naming Bangalore’s Indian Institute of Science (IISc) as the fastest growing university in South Asia. IISc Bangalore (IISc-Bengaluru) ranks 155th among the world’s higher educational institutions. As per the ranking, OP Jindal Global University is the highest ranked private university in this list of QS for the third consecutive year. A total of 41 Indian universities have ranked in the QS ranking list, of which 12 have improved their ranks, 12 have no change in their rankings, 10 institutions have declined, while seven universities from the country have made it to the list for the first time. have been successful in making their place.

As per the rankings, 13 Indian universities have improved their research compared to other global competitors. At the same time, there has been a decline in the QS rankings of leading universities of the country like Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi University (DU) and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), University. Delhi University has been ranked in the 521-530 ranks in this year’s QS ranking list as against 501-510 ranks last time.

Jawaharlal Nehru University has been ranked in the range of 601-650 places in this year’s QS ranking list, compared to 561-570 places last time. Jamia Millia Islamia has been ranked in the ranks of 801-1000 in this year’s list of QS rankings as against 751-800 places last time.
