held a meeting regarding law and order. 

Yogi Adityanath said that strict action should be taken against any individual or organization that violates the law.

He said that the action taken against the rioters should be such that it becomes an example for all the anti-social elements.

Action against rioters will continue

“We are citizens of a democratic country. In this case, we have to maintain dialogue with all parties. In addition to maintaining constant communication with the clergy / civil society, action will also be taken against the miscreants,” Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said.

According to reports, dozens of FIRs have been registered in 9 districts of Uttap Pradesh (UP). So far more than 200 rioters have been detained.

Bulldozers pressed into action

In Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh (UP), bulldozers were run over two houses amid heavy police presence.

Saharanpur IG Dr. Preetinder Singh said, more than 60 accused have been arrested on the charge of disturbing peace and social harmony. 

“The markets are running smoothly. We are touring all areas. We are talking to traders and getting information about their problems. Attempts are being made to instil confidence in the people,” he said.

Rioters on 14-day remand

Meanwhile, Moradabad SSP Hemant Kutial said that the 25 people who were arrested have been produced in court. The accused have been sent to the district jail on a 14-day remand. The accused have been arrested on the basis of video. In Lucknow, the police conducted flag march in violence-affected areas.

“We want people to be aware that any kind of indiscipline will not be tolerated. Anti-social elements are warned not to do any illegal activities. The market should run smoothly. Don’t feel insecure,” JCP Piyush Mordia said.
