PM Modi forced the youth to walk on 'Agnipath' of unemployment :Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi:

The central government has rolled out the ‘Agnipath’ scheme for the youths. The 4-year-long scheme is said to provide an opportunity to the youths to get inducted into the armed forces.

However, the people have started a nation-wide protest against this scheme. Amid the rising protests by the youths of the country, major opposition parties have also opposed the rollout of this scheme. Congress has staged a protest at the Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

Amid these protests, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the Prime Minister has given false hope of provision of employment to the youths of the nation.

Expressing his dismay, Rahul Gandhi mentioned in a tweet that, by giving false hope of jobs again and again to the youth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had forced youths of the nation to walk on the ‘Agnipath’ of unemployment.

He further said that 16 crore jobs were to be given to the unemployed of the nation in 8 years. However, the youth only got the knowledge on ‘frying pakoras’.

The tweet was posted on a day when the top Congress leaders and MPs, including general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, sat on a ‘Satyagraha’ at the Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

The ‘Satyagraha’ was done in a show of solidarity with the youths who are protesting the roll out of the ‘Agnipath’ scheme, throughout the country.

Rahul Gandhi has also appealed the Congress leaders and party workers to not celebrate his birthday today i.e. 19

th

June, 2022. He also appealed them to stand in solidarity with the anguished protesting youths of the nation.
