Pervez Musharraf still critical, Pakistan defense minister makes BIG statement

Pervez Musharraf Update:

Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf’s condition continues to be critical. Pervez Musharraf’s family clarified on Friday, June 10, that he was not on a ventilator, but had been hospitalized for the past three weeks.

The family had issued the statement after false news of Pervez Musharraf’s demise was spread on social media.

The family had said, “He has been hospitalized for about three weeks due to severe illness (Amyloidosis). He is going through a difficult phase where recovery is not possible. Pray for him.”

Amyloidosis is a rare disease which is caused by the formation of an abnormal protein in the organs of the body and due to this the organs of the body are not able to function normally.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s defense minister Khwaja Asif has said that there should be “no obstacle” for the ailing former military ruler General Pervez Musharraf to return home to spend the rest of his life with dignity.

He tweeted that “there should be no hindrance in his return home in view of the deteriorating health of General Musharraf. It should not be hindered by past events. May Allah make him healthy and allow him to spend this time of his life with dignity.”

Pervez Musharraf (78), who ruled Pakistan from 1999 to 2008, was charged with treason and sentenced to death in 2019 for suspending the constitution. Pervez Musharraf went to Dubai for treatment in March 2016 and has not returned to Pakistan since.
