Pakistan national level coach Nadeem Iqbal suspended after allegations of sexual molestation

Karachi:

A national level coach, Nadeem Iqbal, has been suspended by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after the allegations of sexual molestation. Iqbal is a well-known bowler from his playing days and was coaching in Multan region.

After the allegations, PCB official has initiated an inquiry in the matter to find out if the coach has breached his code of conduct as the employee.

Nadeem, 50, earned his reputation in the game when played his swing game on pitch and emerged as an expert of that bowling style. He was once considered a better cricketer than Waqar Younis when he took seven wickets to skittle out the National Bank team for 20 runs in Karachi.

“Obviously we can’t carry out any criminal investigation that is for the police to do but our inquiry will find out if he was in breach of his terms of contract with us,” the official said.

The victim has claimed that the coach asserted himself on her and made sexual advancements that made her uncomfortable.
