Nupur Sharma Controversy:

The case of alleged controversial remarks of BJP leaders Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal against Prophet Mohammad is not taking the name of calming down. Mumbai Police has summoned Nupur Sharma in this case and asked him to appear on June 22. 

Here, the Congress is constantly trying to attack the BJP on this issue. This issue is also hot at the international level. Muslim Gulf countries have strongly condemned Nupur Sharma’s statement. The Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif also took the opportunity to try to encircle India. 

However, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has given a fair answer to Pakistan along with the Gulf countries. Let us tell you what has happened so far in the Prophet Mohammad controversy …!

1- Legal action has been started against suspended Nupur Sharma from Bharatiya Janata Party. Numbur Sharma has been summoned by Mumbra Police Station, Maharashtra. Nupur Sharma has been asked to reach the police station on June 22 and record her statement regarding the alleged controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad.

2- Earlier, All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) said that suspending Nupur Sharma from BJP is not enough. The organization should issue a letter and take legal action against Prophet Mohammad for his controversial remarks.

3- Many countries including Pakistan, UAE, Oman, Indonesia, Iraq, Maldives, Jordan, Libya, Kuwait, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Pakistan had protested against the alleged controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad.

4- Standing strategically important countries like Qatar, Kuwait, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, India has stated that personal comments should not be weighed, but the position of minorities in India under the guise of this dispute. India slammed the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) and its key member Pakistan

5- The matter took hold, then Kuwait moved one step ahead of other Gulf countries. Indian goods were removed in a super market called Al-Ardia Co-operative Society Store in Kuwait. Many items including Indian tea, spices, rice sacks were removed from the supermarket shelves. Also some Indian products have been covered with plastic in the shelf and a slip has been affixed on it. It reads – “We are removing Indian products.”

6- The 57-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also strongly criticized Nupur Sharma’s statement. However, on the OIC’s remarks, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that the Indian government categorically rejects the OIC’s inappropriate and narrow-minded remarks. The remarks made have been made on an individual level and that is not the view of the Government of India. Strict action is being taken against these persons. It is unfortunate that the OIC Secretariat is promoting a discriminatory agenda through some selfish elements.

7- Controversy was discussed at the global level, then some people started threatening to kill Nupur Sharma. Nupur lodged a complaint with the police, after which the Delhi Police increased their security. At the same time, Nupur said that her phone number or home address should not be shared on social media.

8- Nupur Sharma had given his explanation on the whole controversy even before he was suspended by BJP. He had tweeted that he had been participating in discussions on TV for the last several days. My adorable Shivaji was being insulted here every day. I could not bear the insult of our Mahadev and I got angry and said some things. If my words hurt anyone’s religious feelings, I withdraw my words. ‘ But even after this the controversy did not stop.

9- AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi said that action should have been taken ten days ago against BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma for making insulting statements against Prophet Mohammad. The BJP has taken action when things started getting worse in the Gulf countries.

10- Strict action has been taken by BJP against Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal regarding the allegedly controversial remarks on Prophet Mohammad. Nupur Sharma has been suspended from primary membership for 6 years. Meanwhile, Naveen Kumar Jindal has also been expelled from the party.
