Nothing Phone 1: Launch date confirmed, know details

There is nothing wrong with the launch date of Phone 1 on July 12, the company confirmed on Wednesday. The first UK-type smartphone led by OnePlus founder Carl Pei will be unveiled in London at a lively event and will be broadcast live on the company’s official channels. 

Nothing Phone 1 is designed to have a clear back that shows internal components and will support wireless charging. The handset will be sold on Flipkart in India. The smartphone will run on Android OS-based OS and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC.

Nothing Phone 1 will be launched on July 12. The virtual event ‘Return to Instinct’ by Nothing will start at 8.30pm IST and will be broadcast live on its official YouTube channel.

Interested users can now sign up to receive notifications about the event on the Nothing website website. The brand also sent media invitations for launch. However, the price details for the upcoming call are not yet known.

Meanwhile, well-known tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) tweeted that the phone would be produced locally and that could control costs. In line with the leak, production of Nothing Phone 1 is expected to start soon.

Prior to the launch, the UK-based electronics brand has unveiled a number of specifics for its first smartphone. Recently, an internal report from the company announced that Nothing Phone 1 will have a design as obvious as the actual wireless earphones of Nothing Ear 1. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon SoC. Verified to run on Android OS-based OS. No Phone 1 will be sold via Flipkart in India. The e-commerce website has created a dedicated landing page to mock the launch of Nothing Phone 1.

Details of Nothing Phone 1 have been leaked many times in the past. It is said to have a 6.55 inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,080×2,400 pixels. The display panel is expected to have flat edges as well.
